A Tale of Two Brains is the 10th story in the John Lane series by Richard Lobinske and includes events mentioned in the episode "Quinn the Brain".

After Quinn's essay in the school paper makes her a popular brain, Daria comes up with a way to restore the balance of power in the Morgendorffer household, and at the same time, gain more time with John.
