A Legend of Rebirth by Richard Lobinske is a crossover story between the BBC show "Red Dwarf" and the author's Falling Into College series.
It is a future history that starts with Karen, now a veterinarian, crying over Daria's cat Bump, who had died of natural causes at age 18. Knowing how much Daria will miss the cat, she takes a post-mortem blood sample and devises a plan to help her friend.
