Mr. O'Neill throws out his back, forcing Ms. Li to call a substitute for his class. [[Margot Haworth]] arrives, a motorcycle-riding, swearing, against-the-rules type who preaches against conformity. Daria takes to her instantly, while Jodie is less impressed.
Margot Haworth is sometimes seen as a [[Mary Sue]] character, given the quickness with which she and Daria bond and the level of respect in which Daria holds her.
