Always Beside You

Post-canon alternate-universe horror story by The Angst Guy. An older Trent Lane visits his adult younger sister, whom he has long believed lives alone, only to discover she was never alone at all. Jane Lane, now terminally ill, is accompanied by the ghost of a deceased childhood friend, Daria Morgendorffer. Jane has one last request for her brother, but the ghost attempts to warn Trent that Jane's plan could bring disaster.

The story spins off from a possible outcome shown at the beginning of the episode "Fair Enough," when Daria left the school library just before it collapsed.

Winner of "Favorite Jane" and "Favorite Supernatural or Fantasy Horror" story in the 4th Daria Fanworks Awards.
