Angier Sloane is the husband of Kay Sloane and father of Tom and Elsie Sloane.
He's a partner in the financial firm Grace, Sloane and Page. We know he's old money.
As with most of his family, he's an alumni of Bromwell. He first met Kay at a free concert held at Bromwell by the Carpenters, when he was a senior and she was a sophmore. He played on the lawn tennis team with Bill Woods.
His relationship with his son is undeveloped, though we do know he had Tom's old Ford Pinto towed away in the middle of the night and gave him a second-hand Jaguar instead, and that Tom doesn't tell him about any girl he dates. Kay once said both Angier and Tom are "stuck in their ways" when it came to (not) buying new clothes.
Angier was the first one to address a friendly question to Daria when they first met. He was initially left confused and worried by Daria's sense of humour, before he worked out the girl was joking; Tom, however, says his dad thinks well of Daria.
