Britabird
Britabird is a Daria fandom artist and author.
Biographical Information[edit]

Britabird is a Daria fan from the American South. She specializes primarily in fan art but also writes fan fiction when the mood strikes. You can find her DeviantArt page here. Outside the fandom world, her hobbies include reading, painting original works, collecting vinyl records, and sometimes fixing old stereos.
She first began watching the series during the airing of the fourth season. The first episode she watched was I Loathe a Parade, when she became an instant fan of the show. By the age of twelve, she had drawn and colored sketches of the characters, mostly Daria and Jane, and was frequenting Outpost Daria.
Fanon and Fan Culture Contributions[edit]
Her first work of Daria-related art was titled "Trentenfurter" which was made in 2007 and nominated for the 4th Daria Fanworks Awards without her knowledge. After she found out about her work's inclusion in the awards, she joined the fandom.
Her first attempt at fanfic writing began with a Sailor Moon "crack" fic she had collaborated with her sister when she was in fifth grade. She didn't start officially writing fanfiction until she joined the PPMB, where she started out posting in threads such as "Scenes No Daria Fic Should Have" before trying her hand at longer stand-alone stories and serial fics.
