The rescue center and church are located in the fictional village of Carthage, West Virginia. [[Daria Morgendorffer]] and [[Jane Lane]] stay at the rescue center while Daria is undergoing a rabies treatment cycle.
While at the rescue center, Daria and Jane work with the church community, standing watches, assisting with children and defending the center during an outlaw raid.
