'''Claire Defoe''' is a fictional animated character who frequently appeared on [[MTV]]'s animated series ''[[Daria]]''. Ms. Claire Defoe was [[Lawndale High]]'s resident Art teacher, and was characteristically very relaxed and patient, more in tune to art thatthan anything else. She did not appear in the series nearly as frequently as the other teachers, and so very little was learned about her. She was never seen actually creating any art of her own, but she did delight in nurturing the talents of others, particularly student [[Jane Lane]], a character famous on the show for her artistic nature and passion.
