Daria Fan Fiction and Me: An Uneasy Relationship? is an essay by Robert Nowall, written in 2000 - a bit less than a year after Nowall started watching the show, and three months after he discovered Daria fanfic.

He discusses his discovery of fanfic, how this relates to his frustrations of getting original work published, and his plans with his own fics (the Daria 2010 series). While he gives a date of when he plans to stop writing fic, he would actually still be doing so in 2004, creating Veronica Morgendorffer.
