The roof of the school library collapses, and to raise funds for its replacement, Ms. Li holds an event that will represent "the spirit of student life at Lawndale High"—a Renaissance Fair. Come the actual fair, neither Sandi nor Brittany rest content with the ''status quo'', causing the performance to disintegrate into chaos,. but beforeBefore the climatic debacle, Helen and [[Linda Griffin]], Sandi's mother, engage in some catty conversation to rival that of their respective daughters, and Daria and Jane are trapped on a Ferris Wheel with an inconsolable (and intolerable) Stacy Rowe.
