GTS

GTS (an abbreviation of "Girls Together Sarcastically") is an ongoing fanfiction series by Dennis. This is post-canon series set in Boston and starting during Daria's junior year of college. The series revolves around the titular band, initially formed by Daria, Jane, and Quinn, and eventually supplemented with fourth member Sandi Griffin, who moved to Boston after leaving college, as they struggle to balance, work, (in some cases) school, and their ambitions for the band. At the same time, they have to manage the clashes between the disparate personalities in the band.

The series consists of seven full-length stories, running from between 6,500 to 13,000 words, and two shorter "Interludes" of under 2000 words.

Notes

The series title is a reference to the work of Frank Zappa and the all-groupie band he assembled and produced called the GTOs (Girls Together Outrageously). Each fic title is an altered version of a song lyrics (often, but not always, the title lyric from the song).

The continuum in which these stories are set has been designated as universe Daria-41183 of the Daria Multiverse. In keeping with the use of the fictional schools from Daria-Prime, these stories feature fictional counterparts of real places in the Boston area.

Status

The series is still active, with more stories planned. GTS #5 was released in the second half of 2012, GTS #6 in the summer of 2023, and GTS #7 at the beginning of 2024.
