Hope High

Daria expresses her concern about the violence at Hope High

Presumably an alternative high school in the Highland, Texas area, where problems students were sent. This school is mentioned only once in a Beavis and Butt-head episode, "No Laughing", not in the Daria series.

In "No Laughing", Beavis and Butt-head were threatened with being expelled from Highland and sent to Hope High if they laughed again: Coach Buzzcut implied it was a very violent school and they wouldn't last long. Daria, as with the rest of the class, thought this was hilarious.

Several alternate universe fanfics have put Daria in Hope High instead of Highland High: these include Daria 2007: The Girl From Hope by The Angst Guy and Saving Hope by Richard Lobinske. TAG has also used the name "Hope High" as the 'bad' school on Holiday Island in "A Hard Days' Night".
