The talent is similar to astral projection, in that Jane's body remained in a sensory deprivation tank, asleep and dreaming, while "Tinker Jane" appeared in Daria's bedroom and wandered around with her at night. |

Jane Lane takes part in a science experiment that brings out a completely unexpected paranormal ability to transform herself into a faerie creature, much to her friend Daria Morgendorffer's shock and amazement. The talent is similar to astral projection, in that Jane's body remained in a sensory deprivation tank, asleep and dreaming, while "Tinker Jane" appeared in Daria's bedroom and wandered around with her at night.
