He believes in at least trying to maintain his relationships and friendships, as he shows with Erin Danielson, who he had a previously intense romantic relationship with that nearly ended in marriage, and with Dr. Hanley Phillips, who he served with in the Paranormal Oriented Global Operations (P.O.G.O.) teams – the special operations units that are the active paramilitary arm of DELPHI.
Recently, during events which occurred in New Orleans, Kyle has begun a search for the legendary [http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gem_of_Amarra Gem of Amarra]. He learned that the gem, when worn by a Nightbreed, acts in a supernatural fashion to endow the possessor with abilities nearly identical to the alien humanoid race known as [ Kyprtonians], and is trying to retrieve the gem before someone else can and causes untold harm.
