The author answered these charges with a posting detailing the shortcomings of the character, after which those claims fell silent. There is, however, a lingering belief that Kyle IS a 'Mary Sue' in that he is a [[self-insert]] character that mirrors the author's own fantasies of wish-fulfillment.
