The Melody Powers meme is so pervasive that Daria writes these stories in various [[alternate universes]] like the ([[John Lane series]] by [[Richard Lobinske]], even when Daria is no longer Daria but Darren ("[[Café Ineffective]]," by [[Bacner]]).
