Established in August 2003, Mental In The Morning(MITM) is a private forum on the [[SFMB]] dedicated as a support group to those members of fandom who need it, more specifically those with mental illness who may not have had anywhere else to turn. The onesforum whoseactually brainsstarted thinkas it’sa cuteYahoo! group (under the same name), but was moved to pullthe allSFMB kindsin oforder weirdto bullshitbe onmore theminclusive. thatThe stuffsgroup upproved theirto socialbe interactionsa roaring success, and/or emotions.saw many friendships form as the result of talking out problems, sharing, and understanding--in Insome essencecases, peoplereversing likebitter meenmity.
In short, as a result of that meltdown, I created a yahoo group called Mental In The Morning to promote a safe environment for the support of Daria Fans, like myself, with mental illness and nowhere to turn. After a few months, [[Thea Zara]] offered me some space on the Fluff for MITM. I thought it was a fabulous idea, since that forum was much more accessible to Daria fans than the yahoo group was. The group has been a roaring success, and has seen many friendships form as the result of talking out problems, sharing and understanding - in some cases reversing bitter enmity.
