Nextgen: Difference between revisions

A type of fanfic, named for <i>Star Trek: The Next Generation</i>, the setting of which took place one generation after the original ''Star Trek'' TV series. In a '''nextgen''' (or TNG) ''Daria'' fanfic, the stars are characters younger than the primary characters (Daria, Jane, Quinn, etc.). They are, in essence, the "next generation." The story is usually set [[post-canon|after]] Daria and Jane have graduated high school, allowing the younger characters to take their places. Some nextgen stories feature the future children of Daria or Jane (or other characters) in their own adventures.
