Nineteen in Ninety-Nine
The 6th story in the Falling Into College series by Richard Lobinske. The story occurs on Daria's birthday, November 19, 1999.
Summary[edit]
On Daria's 19th birthday, her first Melody Powers story (accepted in the Last Summer story, Out of the Frying Pan) is published in the pulp magazine, Literature in Action, and a second is accepted. Near the end of a birthday party Karen arranged with the other girls on the dorm floor, Aunt Amy arrives and takes Daria and Karen out for a night on the town. On the way to visit a museum, Amy, a university professor, stops by the academic convention she's attending in Boston and when they leave, two men in suits follow them, with a third following them.
