No Advance Without Strife is the twenty-eighth installment of Roentgen's Legion of Lawndale Heroes series. It was initially titled 4:4 (Chapter 4, Part 4), and was given a title for the first time when coding of the older postings of LLH on the PPMB was corrected.

The segment ends with the notation: "Philip Gordon Wylie, 1902-1971". Philp Gordon Wylie was the author of Gladiator, a novel believed to inspire several writers of superheroic tales.
