The assumed placement of [[Lawndale]] on the east coast, as a suburb of Baltimore or Philadelphia, was challenged by the appearance of a rock-filled desert with occasional trees in "[[Speedtrapped]]" - [{[Fremont|just under 100 miles]] away from Lawndale. Explaining this without bringing in wormholes and tesseracts, but no cacti are visible and the inhabitants look like a mix of country rednecks and cowboy wannabes. An isolated place in Virginia ''might'' fit the bill.
