Sam Johnson
Sam Johnson is a television screenwriter, comic writer and an additional voice actor (including Mr. Herrera) on several episodes of Beavis and Butt-head). With Chris Marcil, he wrote the Daria episodes College Bored, The Big House, The New Kid, Depth Takes a Holiday, and Speedtrapped, as well as the pilot, Sealed with a Kick. In an interview, Glenn Eichler says he believed they named Quinn, Jake, and Helen.
Johnson and Marcil also wrote for Beavis and Butt-head and issues of the spin-off comic, many featuring Daria - #6, #8, #10, #12, #21, and #27. On the parent show, they suggested a character that would evolve into Todd Ianuzzi and also contributed the term "assmunch" (which MTV initially forced Mike Judge to change it to "buttmunch").
Johnson and Marcil's contract with MTV expired by the time Daria aired and they moved out to Los Angeles to work on sitcoms ("where the money was", Marcil told Paste), which is why they didn't take a larger role in the show. He has since worked on NewsRadio, Frasier, and How I Met Your Mother
Sam Griffin is named after him.
