A term drawn from fanfiction in general. Short for "relationshipper", it can be used to describe romance authors or stories. Early in the fandom history, the most common form of shipper was matchups between Daria and Trent. In more recent years, the variety of relationship matchups has expanded considerably, sometimes to absurdity.
