The Last Journey Home is the opening story of the Submariner Series by Wildgoose. On their last voyage before retirement, Daria and Jane, captain and XO of the submarine Cynicism, Daria receives news of her mother's death. While talking about Helen, they also discuss the months that they spent in the Lane bomb shelter after the Y2K nuclear war and how Daria and Trent got together.
