The story was first serialized on Katherine Goodman's old alt.lawndale.com site, even as Katherine decided not to accept any more serialized fan fic. It was later reposted to [[Outpost Daria]]. In 2001, however, in light of the terrorist attacks of September 11, Guerin pulled the story because he felt that his depiction of Akbar was inappropriate given the changed climate of the times and that he was also concerned that fellow fan fic author [[Austin Covello]] had become too obsessed over the character. However, the fic can still be located on Guerin's personal fanfic site; it is unknown if he decided to repost the fic at a later date or simply requested other websites to remove his story.
