The Quiet Ones is an alternate universe horror fanfic by Smileyfax, and due to themes and violence should be considered 'R-rated'.

The story started as a gag based on how Daria could have killed Travis in "Speedtrapped". In the original gag opening, she did - and didn't care. "Damnit, Daria, you told me you wouldn't kill anybody again!" Smileyfax went on to expand this from dark comedy into bleak horror as Daria's sociopathy is developed.
