The story begins with [[Jane Lane|Jane]] concerned about her son's apparent lack of interest in girls. In response to somewhat feeling their age and the need to take a break, [[Daria Morgendorffer|Daria]] and [[Trent Lane|Trent]], along with Jane, go on a vaction to the Bahamas, with a recommendation from Kathryn about a nice, secluded beach. Their now-adult children stay home to keep an eye on things. While away, the feelings between Niete and William grow to a romance, and with Kathryn's help (and sacrifice), they get married. At the secluded beach, Daria rescues a Fey who was trapped in a fishing net during childbirth.
