The character known as "Uncle Max" (presumably Max Lane) is known only from the episode "[[The Teachings of Don Jake]]," in which [[Jane]] and [[Trent]] travel to a Lane family reunion in the American Midwest. Uncle Max, who is drinking heavily, says he likes Trent because "You're a bum!"
