alt.lawndale VS alt.coffee

Alt.lawndale.com was the local cyber-cafe in Lawndale.

In "Cafe Disaffecto", the cyber-cafe was robbed of computer equipment and this pretty much ended the place. Timothy O'Neill was left distraught and assumed the kids at Lawndale High would be too, which they weren't (mostly, as Kevin says, having their own computers). The site was taken over the school's coffee shop, which itself was robbed.

Virtual Lawndale snarked that the coffee house was a site of the future - one closed down since 1997.

Trivia

• The name was borrowed for the first Daria fan website, which is still up even if it's not being updated.
• The logo for alt.lawndale.com is modelled after then-hip-now-dead New York cafe alt.coffee.
