In "[[Water Safety]]" she ''was'' shown how to perform CPR, which is either because Glenn Eichler wasn't taking that ''Beavis and Butt-head'' episode as canon (real world answer) or because Daria panicked or was otherwise afraid/reluctant to try it on Mrs Johanssen (in-universe answer).
