A Daria fanfiction series by NightGoblyn and winner of the "Favorite New Series" award in the 4th Daria Fanworks Awards. The stories recast several of the characters from Daria in the roles of heroes or villains from DC comics.

Characters

Jane Lane: After a nasty run-in with a sport vehicle and its inattentive driver, Jane learns that she is not like other girls. She is, in fact, an alien orphan adopted by her "brother" Trent when she was a toddler. Her real name is Jan-L, and she has powers beyond those of mere mortals. After facing another superbeing in combat the newspaper tags her with the name Supergirl, and she resolves to use her great powers to wage a never ending battle against evil.

Trent Lane: He provides Jane with a much needed touchstone to her basic human nature. The life of a teenaged superhero is rough, and Trent is always there to offer comfort or advice.

Quinn Morgendorffer: Jane's best friend, the young Quinn has had a rough childhood. Her parents were murdered when she was a small child, and her older sister left shortly afterwards for Europe and parts unknown. Quinn, along with her legal guardian and aunt Amy Barksdale, have recently moved to Lawndale. After nudging from her aunt and Jane, Quinn ends up joining the staff of the school paper as a reporter.

Alexandra Griffin: Sandi Griffin is president of the Fashion Club, and former best friend of Jane before her father demanded she stop associating with "trashy people" like Jane. As part of healing the rift between the two girls, Sandi confronts her father and demands that she be treated with respect. He agrees, and goes one step further to involve her in the Family Business.

Stacy Rowe: The formerly shy and skittish Stacy has overcome much of her self-consciousness and joined the cheerleading squad her freshman year, and is also a competitive gymnast. Stacy's best friend is Tiffany, although with her cheerful demeanor and sunny disposition she gets on well with nearly everyone.

Tiffany Blum-Deckler: This lovely but painfully slow-witted Asian girl was one of the victims of the tragic meteor shower that struck Lawndale when she was an infant. Her biological parents were slain when their home was destroyed during the shower, and the infant Tiffany received injuries resulting in brain damage. What no one realizes is that their house was not struct by a meteor, but by a fragment of Jane's ship - specifically, a Kryptonian crystal computer matrix containing the history and culture of the destroyed world and a custodial AI. The AI overwrote portions of the infant's brain, storing itself and the library in what it considered a primitive biological computer.

Charles Ruttheimer III: The goofy and womanizing "Upchuck" is a figure of scorn and ridicule around Lawndale High until he meets Quinn Morgendorffer. She finds his antics more amusing than off-putting, and champions him as a back-up photographer for the school paper. She begins training him out of his more annoying habits, and the two eventually become a couple.

Jodie Landon: The overworked Jodie is also the editor of the school paper. The other students working on the paper occasionally cover for her when she wants to take a break from her busy schedule.

Mack MacKenzie: Jodie's boyfriend, captain of the football team, and back-up photographer for the paper.

Jim Vitale: The most senior partner in a successful law firm, and one of the luminaries of the organized crime sub-culture. He is absolutely not in charge of the organized crime syndicate. Just ask him.

James Gordon: One of the only honest policemen in Gotham, Jim Gordon feels as if he is fighting a one man war against all the crime and corruption of the city. His bouts of self doubt and depression are only aggravated by his constant worry about his wife and their unborn child.

Harvey Dent: An assistant District Attorney, and one of Gordon's allies in the quest to clean up Gotham City. Harvey seems to have no doubts about his aims, and frequently seems more driven than Gordon.
