Novelizations were a trend in the early days of the fandom, when Martin J. Pollard, Brielle Potter, CF, and others would write up 'novelizations' of the episodes for Outpost Daria. At the height of The Look-Alike Series popularity, Canadibrit's script format stories would be novelized by other fans.
Some novelizations would take some fanon liberties, such as Pollard's novelization of "The Invitation" turning the Popular Girl into fan-character Tori Jericho.
