Skunkworks
Skunkworks is the first installment of Roentgen's Legion of Lawndale Heroes series. It was initially titled 1:1 (Chapter 1, Part 1), then was given a title for the first time when the story was placed on fanfiction.net. This story is considered to be the point of divergence separating the LLH settings from other Dariaverses.

A group of ALF (Animal Liberation Front) members releases the animals from a secreted animal testing facility in Lawndale. As it turns out, the animals have clearly been changed to something beyong ordinary animals.
Daria is posing for a picture at Jane Lane's house when Quinn comes by to retrieve Daria, as Helen has been calling the Lane household but no one has been answering. When Quinn spots a rabbit in the Lane backyard, she goes chasing after it and Daria and Jane (for fun) chase after Quinn. Unfortunately, the three meet "Cuddles", a skunk which has escaped from the research facility. The three are not so much as sprayed as they are blasted, and all end up in the hospital.
