First seen in "A Path of Roses and Thorns," this is a small 'hole-in-the-wall' bar located on a traffic island in the middle of an intersection near Tennyson University. The bar is well-known for its excellent selection of domestic and imported beers, and for its drink and lunch specials ($0.50 domestic drafts, and $2.00 orders of mini-kabobs and steak fries). It is the place where Amy Barksdale and Maurice 'Reese' Wyatt had their first kiss.

The bar gets its name from it's location, the 'tropical island' motif the owners have for the place, and the reputation the bar has for being a place where patrons can 'get away from it all'.
