Plot
Beavis and Butt-head present their latest science project to Mrs. Dickie: a cheap model of the space shuttle Challenger that they blow up. When she disgustedly asks Butt-head how he could do something so tasteless, he cheerfully replies "Beavis helped me" and the two air-guitar in triumpg. The teacher orders them to do another project ("but we're out of firecrackers"), and assigns them to work with Daria, who"our has anstraight A instudent the class and haswho won the science fair severallast times in a rowyear". Both parties are reluctant:

*Daria: But Mrs Dickie! Beavis and Butt-head are complete imbeciles!
*Beavis: Yeah, heheh, she's right.

but Mrs. Dickie forces them to work together. Butt-head is disgruntled they have to work with "Diarrhea".

Later, Daria arrives at Beavis and/or Butt-head's house. She asks them for their project ideas, but she is quite unimpressed by their proposals:

*Daria: Hey, Butt-head.
*Beavis:If you pour salt on a snail, a lot of scientific stuff happens.
*Butt-head: WeHey, couldDia burn... someI antsmean, Daria.
[As Daria walks in past the pair she looks heavenward with exasperation]
*Daria: You guys think of any new science projects?
*Beavis: Yeah. If you pour salt on a snail, a lot of scientific stuff happens.!
*Butt-head: [holding a magnifying glass] We could burn some ants.
*Beavis: We could have Butt-head sit on a big glass jar - and then FART!
*Daria: What's scientific about that?
*Beavis: Nothing until you light it.
*Daria: How does a person learn a thing like that?

When she asks them how they learned to be so disgusting, Butt-head proudly informs her he learned everything he knows from his dad. Beavis agrees.

*Daria: Relaly? You both have the same dad?
*Butt-head: Uhhh, we're not sure. It's possible.
*Daria: [thinking to herself, a light bulb above her head] Hmmm, I think I have an idea for our science project...
*B&B: [no thought at all, as matches fail to strike above their heads]

The next day at school, the three are then seen presenting their project, "Stupidity: Biological or Environmental?" to Mrs. Dickie's science class. This basically is Beavis and Butt-head hurting themselves in front of everyone while talking about their relatives and Daria saying this shows both factors lead to stupidity. Later, Daria is seen sitting on the couch between Beavis and Butt-head. She congratulates the two of them for doing well on the project. Then Butt-head asks her:
This gives her an idea for a science project (and gives the boys no thought at all).

*Beavis: By changing the shape of my mouth I create different vibrators ...

*Daria: [whispering behind her hand] Vibrations!
*Beavis: Uh, vibrations ... that can be used to play a song. My uncle taught me this trick, only he used a bat!
[Everyone applauds, including Daria]
*Beavis: Thank you.
*Butt-head: Here's something my dad taught me. If you, like, take three deep breaths and then you blow on your thumb, sometimes you pass out.
[Butt-head begins to demonstrate, while Beavis resumes his "song"]
*Daria: And so we raise an age-old question: Idiocy - Genetic or Environmental? I think our examples of Beavis and Butt-head indicate that both are contributing factors.
[Butt-head passes out]
*Daria: I rest my case.

Daria returns to Beavis and Butt-head's home afterward:

*Daria: You guys were great! I don't know anyone else who'd be willing to make such fools of themselves.
*Butt-head: Hey, Diarrhea?
*Daria: [cautiously] Yeah?
*Butt-head: Do you, like, get periods?
*Daria: Butt-head, why don't you try this experiment? AnalyseAnalyze the friction caused by digitally oscillating your weiner.wiener!
[Beavis and Butt-head both laugh]
*Butt-head: That was cool. !

Trivia
As Mike Judge has cited David Felton as coming up with Daria's character (on the Mike Judge Collection DVD), Felton likely wrote this episode.
This earliest form of Daria doesn't yet have her cutting sarcasm (bar her final line) and she speaks in a more high-pitched, expressive tone. Her misanthropy, tendency to manipulate, and intelligence are all on display already.

Her misanthropy, tendency to manipulate, and intelligence are all on display already. The outfit she's wearing will shortly change, though a slight variation of it will be used in the comics and other spinoff media anyway.

In repeats, the farts line was cut as part of MTV's mass censorship of Beavis' pyromania.

This episode was only released on the extremely rare canceled DVD set "The History of Beavis and Butt-head."

This was the first B&B episode where we saw more of their house than just the couch: the two meet up with Daria in Beavis' bedroom. The full explaination of what's in and around that room is described in "This Book Sucks" where disturbingly, Butt-Head refers the pillow on the bed as "Beavis' girlfriend".
This is the only episode of Beavis and Butt-head where Daria has a major plot contribution. In other episodes where Daria has a speaking role, she does not play a central role in the plot and merely provides observation.
