Driven Wild Universe: Difference between revisions

Line 60:
===Redemption Through Self Awareness===

As long as a character is capable of looking inside him or herself and examining his or her behavior, the character is capable of redemption. Wild once stated in an interview with [[E. A. Smith]] that the only character that falls outside that definition is Alfred Phelps because he refuses to second-guesssee hishimself behavioras anything other than a victim of other people and circumstances.

Redemption is rarely a smooth process, although nearly every character undergoes some form of it throughout the series. Another personality trait necessary for redemption is proactivity. Without it, a character is doomed to remain in a pathetic static state. One reason Wild holds Jake in such contempt is that she feels he never truly tries to be proactive.
