Squirrel Girl is a fictional character from the Marvel Universe who makes a cameo appearance in the Daria Von Doom Series by Richard Lobinske. Her name changes to Squirrel Lady later in the series. She has become part of a fanfiction in-joke tradition involving squirrel stories.
DJW is known to have a somewhat worrying interest in the character. The reasons for this are unknown and no doubt best left this way.
