Daria is talked into joining Lawndale High's debate team. Quinn and Sandi join as well, thinking that the debate is a popularity contest. The debate team goes out of town (with Helen as one of the chaperones), and Daria finds herself not only sharing a room with Sandi, but also partners with her in their debate. Meanwhile, back at Lawndale High, Jane helps Stacy and Tiffany rebel against Ms. Li.
