The source of the confusion over the place's proper name is unclear (possibly a murky image from an episode in the series), but the [http://www.mtv.com/onair/daria/lawndale Virtual Lawndale] webpage in [http://www.mtv.com/onair/daria MTV's ''Daria'' website] shows the name as "The Zon" (look for location #10 on the map).
In addition, in a line of recorded dialogue in the official video game ''[[Daria's Inferno]]'', Tracy Grandstaff pronounces the name as "Zõn" (i.e. Rhyming with "Zone").
