Abby Terkuhle

Abby Terkuhle is the founder and former president of MTV Animation. As president, he was executive producer of Daria, Beavis and Butt-head, and Celebrity Deathmatch, the three longest-running animated shows on MTV.

Terkuhle graduated from Loyola University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in communications. He was initially a film segment producer for Saturday Night Live and a producer for Showtime/The Movie Channel before moving to MTV. He became creative director at MTV, promoting MTV's brand identification through advertising and on-air promotions.

Recognizing that interesting animation could bring more viewers to MTV, Terkuhle founded the MTV Animation department. Terkuhle's first project was Liquid Television, which was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program in 1993. Terkuhle was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Animated Program again in 2000 for Downtown.

Terkuhle would remain as president of MTV Animation for all five seasons of Daria. He is now head of Aboriginal Entertainment, a full-service production company based in New York City.

Terkuhle was production executive for the animated series 3-South, executive producer for episodes of Celebrity Deathmatch, Downtown, and Undergrads, as well as the live action reality series Artstar and the feature films Joe's Apartment and Beavis and Butt-Head Do America.
