Dr. Shar is a cosmetic surgeon and proprietor of Dr. Shar's Swan Shoppe who is introduced in the episode, "Too Cute". Though clearly a recipient of too many cosmetic procedures herself, Dr. Shar is popular for performing surgery on teenagers and despite her protestations, has very questionable ethics, such as suggesting sham charges for Human Growth Hormone treatments on Daria to pay for a procedure on Quinn.

She can briefly be seen in "I Loathe a Parade," in a romantic embrace with Rock N' Roll Randy, of all people.

Dr. Shar is voiced by Tracy Lee Jones.

In "The Worst of Daria Part 1", Erin Mills pointed out that Shar's proof-of-concept of an 'improved' Quinn... looks like Shar.
