Daria Morgendorffer discovers that she was a test-tube baby, created by in vitro fertilization at an experimental fertility clinic in California. What she doesn't know is that the clinic caused the fertilized egg to divide numerous times, creating identical twins of Daria that were implanted in other women across the United States--and her clones are making many of the same life choices she is.
