The Imitation is a fanfic by Kristen Bealer, based on Daria joking in "The Invitation" that Jane could pretend to be her.
In this fanfic, Jane takes her up on it and goes to Brittany's party in glasses - unleashing a wave of chaos and accidental popularity!
Won Favorite Comedy and Favorite Weird Idea in the 2020 Daria Fanworks Awards, and was nominated for Favorite Overall!
