Veronica Morgendorffer, also called Ronnie or Ronni, is probably the most ubiquitous fandom creation in the history of Daria fanfic. Veronica is the non-existent (or very forgettable, in some stories) third and last Morgendorffer sister.
History
She was originally created by Robert Nowell, in a story fragment. She was then taken up by Renfield to produce the excellent and heart-wrenching Twilight's Own, and later finished by Nowell himself in Next Time, This Time. The character gained a life of her own after that. Her personality was further refined by Brother Grimace, in his story The Trouble With Veronica. She appears in The Angst Guy's novella Darkness as Daria's half-sister.

It is a running gag in many fanfics and quite a few Scenes That Should Not Be PPMB forum threads that Veronica has always existed, but is for some reason always forgotten by Daria--not in a sisterly "I'd love to forget you're around" way, but literally forgotten on a daily basis.
