Austin Covello was a fanfic author who was most active between late 1998 and early 2001. He is best-known for his ground-breaking portrayal of Stacy Rowe in "A Day in the Life of Stacy."

Trivia

  • "A Day in the Life of Stacy" first introduced the pairing of Stacy with Ted DeWitt-Clinton. Since then, this pairing has become one of the most popular and has been inserted into numerous fanfics.
  • Similarly, "Boyfiend" bestowed the name "Tori Jericho" on "the popular girl" from "The Invitation." The name has since been widely used in fanfiction.
  • Covello had a rather unusual obsession over the character Akbar El-Salaam, the terrorist who hijakced Ami Mizuno's flight to Germany in Peter Guerin's first fan fiction story "The Misery Senshi Neo-Zero Double Blitzkrieg Debacle."
  • Covello was a fan of the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion; this was reflected in his story "Stacy Rowe: Evangelion Pilot".
  • It was Covello's essay "The Stacy Phenomenon" that partly inspired Stacy obsessive starmeshelion to join the fandom actively.
