Daria Fandom: A Question of Gratitude is an essay by Michelle Klein-Hass written around Thanksgiving 1998.
Klein-Hass laments the loss of all three of the original 'megasites', Wraith's Sick, Sad World, Rowena Stubb'sPlanet Lawndale, and Katherine Goodman's alt.lawndale.com. She refers to the "unspoken" reason that this is due to abuse faced by the webmasters from parts of the fandom, and asks for people to show gratitude for their work.
The next year, Rey Fox wrote an article, "An Appeal For Sanity", about similar things happening to Klein-Hass and called her essay a "Cassandra's warning".
