Summary

The roof of the school library collapses, and to raise funds for its replacement, Ms. Li holds an event that will represent "the spirit of student life at Lawndale High"—a Renaissance Fair. Mr. O'Neill mounts a production of The Knight's Tale from Chaucer's Canterbury Tales, and Sandi and Quinn find themselves in competition for the role of Emily. Quinn wins the role, much to Sandi's chagrin, and Kevin gets the role of Emily's betrothed, Palomon, much to Brittany's dismay. Come the actual fair, neither Sandi nor Brittany rest content with the status quo, causing the performance to disintegrate into chaos, but before the climatic debacle, Helen and Linda Griffin, Sandi's mother, engage in some catty conversation to rival that of their respective daughters, and Daria and Jane are trapped on a Ferris Wheel with an inconsolable (and intolerable) Stacy Rowe.

As Daria Morgendorffer walks away in the rain with her umbrella, the library roof cracks and caves in. ("Fair Enough"

Trivia

Daria Morgendorffer, Kevin Thompson, and Brittany Taylor are nearly killed by the collapse of the library roof in the opening scenes of this episode, but escape with minor injuries at the worst. Few fanfics have used this event in an alternate-universe manner, supposing their injuries were more severe.
