As with most of his family, he's an alumni of [[Bromwell]]. He first met Kay at a free concert held at Bromwell by the Carpenters, when he was a senior and she was a sophmore. He played on the lawn tennis team with [[Bill Woods]].
His relationship with his son is undeveloped, though we do know he had Tom's old Ford Pinto towed away in the middle of the night and gave him a second-hand Jaguar instead, and that Tom doesn't tell him about any girl he dates. Kay once said both Angier and Tom are "stuck in their ways" when it came to (not) buying new clothes.
