The great Japanese movie director Akira Kurosawa, although not identified by name, makes a brief appearance in Scissors MacGillicutty's continuation of Nemo Blank's Quinngali. He is described as “a tall Japanese man wearing a floppy hat,” who uses multiple cameras equipped with telephoto, not zoom, lenses to cover a scene of Quinn's humilation.

Kurosawa on the set, possibly of Yojimbo or Sanjuro.
