Arena del Sur was the pseudonym of Ariel Bustos, a fan and fanfic author from Argentina. Sadly, he passed away from cancer in March of 2014, at the age of 31.
In his time, he was a frequent contributor to PPMB discussions and wrote several fanfics with a literary bent: significantly, semi-crossovers between Daria and Vladimir Nabokov's novel Lolita, and Daria and Jiro Taniguchi's manga A Distant Neighborhood nominated for Favorite New Author in the 2011 Daria Fanworks Awards.
